Bilibin Fish Flour Sack Towel

15.00

This deluxe 100% unbleached flour sack towel features two hand screen printed designs of a Bilibin inspired fish in coral ink. Color will vary as ink is hand mixed.

Ivan Bilibin was a Russian 20th century illustrator who was inspired by Slavic folklore. The owner of Dacha Designs' family is related this artist and as such, she wanted to include a design that tips a hat to her heritage. She found a rendering of this fish in the back of one of his books which inspired her with this design.

This deluxe flour sack towel has a tight weave and smooth texture. Compared to standard flour sack towels, these towels are heavier, thicker, and hemmed on all four sides. Each towel measures approximately 30 inches by 30 inches. Sizes can vary slightly.

Each flour sack towel features two fish designs. One is aligned horizontally on the left bottom of the towel while the other is aligned vertically on the bottom right of the towel. This towel is perfect for many uses throughout the house including: hanging on the oven door handle, gift wrap "paper", curtains for a small kitchen window, framing as artwork, baby burp cloth and whatever else you can think of. This towel is indeed quite versatile.

Each flour sack towel is individually hand printed as such there are minor variations. See more from this artist at www.dachadesigns.etsy.com
