Grand Duchess Olga Handmade Flip Doll

55.00

This completely unique “flip doll” was handmade with love by Monica Klepac, an Orthodox mother in Lexington, KY. Though two dolls are shown in the photo, this listing is really for just one very special doll. One way, she is the Grand Duchess Olga in her royal finery. Turn her over and flip her skirt inside out and she becomes Olga in the latter part of her life when she owned a dairy farm! What a great way to teach your kids about a truly inspiring woman! Please note that as these are handmade, each doll may have differences in the details and clothes, but they are all made with care and love.

Grand Duchess Olga

Olga was the daughter of Czar Alexander and sister of Czar Nicholas.  She lived in a country palace and was very close to her father, but when World War I broke out, she became an army nurse and received a medal for her bravery. She later had to flee Russia as her family was in danger from the communist regime. She had a dairy farm in Denmark and later lived in Ontario.
