UPDATE: The icon was fully funded, and the iconographer Andrew Levine (@OrthrosIcons) was able to complete it quickly. It was delivered to her while she was in the hospital, and she reposed later that week. Additionally, we were able to make prints of the icon for her immediate family and godparents, and also passed along your generous donations which at this point have exceeded $1000. We created this coloring sheet for a family in our parish, because their 6 year old daughter, Dorothea, was just diagnosed with a rare and inoperable brain tumor. They don’t yet have an icon of her patron saint, so we are commissioning one from iconographer Andrew K. Levine, and we will match the proceeds from this coloring sheet until the icon is fully funded (he is offering us a discounted rate and speedy turn around because of the emergent nature of the situation). You may print this coloring sheet as many times as needed for personal and church use, and please use it as a reminder to keep sweet Dorothea and her family in your prayers.

Proceeds from this coloring sheet will go towards commissioning an icon to be painted of her patron saint. After this total is reached, the additional money will all go to Dorothea’s family as they face significant medical bills and end of life planning.
